Hey there I have an '84 Bronco and have been stationed in Japan for 3yrs now and am coming back to the states in Oct. The problem I am having is that while I am trying to get parts before I get back, I know nothing about my trucks parts other than it has a 351 W auto trans with a 4 barrel holley carb and Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust other than that I believe it's stock. It was my first truck and I was only able to drive it for a little less than a year before I joined the Air Force and was sent to Okinawa Japan. So if any one is willing to just give me some info about the stock parts, especially axles I would really appreciate it. Also if any one is near Bossier/Shreveport LA, I am getting stationed at Barksdale AFB and could definitly use a guide to go wheeling with.

Welcome to the Zone > .

There is a lot of good general information that can be gained about your truck from the VIN number and the Safety Compliance sticker (located on the driver side rear door post). It soundsl like the truck is in the US and you are in Japan so that makes getting that info a little difficult. However, if you can get someone to get you the VIN number and list the information on the safety compliance sticker, we can help you interpret it. You can also send the vin number to Ford and get a build sheet listing everything that it had when leaving the factory.

Here is a great location for information http://home.comcast.net/~miesk5/

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! SeaB is right, the link to Miesk5's homepage has tons of info on your Bronco and general info. I've replaced or upgraded about everything on my '84 since I bought it 5 years ago, and have some hard time finding certain parts. Ford discontinued most all Bronco parts, but many auto parts stores sell them. Fortunately, if the axles need work, parts are readily available from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, LMC Truck, and others. Good Luck, and ask any questions in the forums or search a topic. JSM84
