EY All,

Wondering about the pros and cons of Door skins. Do they work, how, and is it worth it. The exsiting doors have some dings and both have cracks near the vent windows. The slot near the hinges are exanded do to loose hinges I am guessing. They both have little to no rust. The question, will I spend more time repairing the damage or more time replacing the skin and which will give me a better finished product. Any thoughts?

thanks,

comet

Well, if you have any experience w/welding, then it shouldn't be a problem. 1st, you'll have to gut the door so you won't damage anything. next, you'll have to grind-off the edges of the old skin. weld the new one on. then, do a little touch-up body work. if i had the time, i'd rplc the skin. good luck w/your decision.
