i HAVE A 95 BRONCO with a 302 EFI. Truck runs great except at very low throttle. At idle there isn't any missing and all ranges of throttle responce is great except for it i just slightly touch the gas. I mean maybe 2-5% of the peddle. I cann't figure it out. I changed the plugs wire cap and rotor no help. new air filter fuel filter oil change pcv cleaned map senser and even replaced the TPS. Any ideas????? I am out.

problem is it's kinda bogging and hesitation. as soon as i add alittle more throttle problem gone.

Does it happen when its cold or all the time?. Have you checked your coolant tempeture sensore and coolant it's self? I just did this yesterday, The car was cold starting untill I ran it for a few minutes. Even when running at idel its was a litle shakey. I pulled the sensor, cleaned it, and flushed and changed out my fluid so I am good for 34 below ( I live in Michigan) I ran the engine and let it circulate. SHut if off for 3 hours and when I went to start it bam no problem. I let it sit overnight outside for 9 hours, 16 w the wind chill last night, and bingo started right up. Apparently the sensor tells the computer as to how the FI system should work due to temp from the coolant.

I got the tip from a vet Ford Mech.

Give it a try

I am a bit of an old time back yard mechanic, and I doubt if this will be of help. However the older engines used to have a vaccume modulator beside the distributer to act as a timing advance. After the engine picked up enough RPMs a centrifical advance took over. IF the vaccume modulator had a broken diaphram, or the vaccume hose was disconnected, you would get similar reults.

I mention this only to get you tinking about whatever controls the timing advance in the newer engines.
