Hello, I have a 1995 f250 that had a 351 in it, the truck had no engine in it when I bought it. I bought a 1994 351w from a local junkyard that was suppose to be a good motor, well I rebuilt it and have it in the truck and it runs fine with a couple of I'm sure minor problems. First of all a 1994 bronco oil filter doesn't not fit it but a 1993 filter does, so I'm guessing that it is a 1993 instead of a 1994 351w. I hooked up all the vacuum lines and ended up with the solenoid on the intake and the exhaust vacuum line unhooked to make it idle. I didn't have any diagram to go by so I'm playing it by ear. It has great throttle response until you put it in gear, then it falls all over itself. Once the rpm's get up it runs much better, but getting it there is rather difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

I would check your timing and make sure it's good. Also, what oil filter number do you have? I know that my 94 is supposed to have one kind and I have a different one because I don't have an oil cooler on it any longer. Maybe that's what you have. Also, I'm not fallowingthe solenoid on the intake and the exhaust vacuum line unhooked to make it idle part? Explain that a little if you don't mind and I'll check mine to see if I can help you out any.

The vacuum line on the intake (attached to the throat just beyond where the air cleaner hose attaches) goes to what looks like a solenoid the piece has an electrical plug and the vacuum hoses connect to it. The exhaust one is maybe the egr? Not sure but it bolts onto the exhaust manifold. As far as the timing goes I have played with it quite a bit and it seems like that it maybe the vacuum is messed up and not advancing the timing when needed, if that makes sense. It just runs too good for it not to run so good when going down the road. Your probably right on the oil filter too, thanks for pointing that out. Mike

Right off the top of my head I can't picture the hose going to an electical part but I'll look, it'll be a little bit since I'm at work and it's in the mid 30's right now so it's a bit colder than I care for. Are you talking about the vacuum line that comes off the passenger side of the throttle body? Goes into a little plastic "T" connector looking thing? If that's what you're talking about then I think it has something to do with the smog pump but not sure. I have one side of that blocked off. Also, I beilive that the throttle body is water cooled on these years and you may be looking at that. Do you have the vacuum line hooked to the fuel regulator? Also, if your EGR is cloged it'll make the motor have a **** of a time staying running? Let me know and I hope this helps...
