I can't see how to remove the switch On-the-fly 4WD switch on my 87 Edie Bauer 2.9L Bronco II. The 4WD switch is pushed into the console.

Please Help

Hello,

Sorry no one has replied to this question yet. I just got moved to Alaska and am now back up. Anyway, If you haven't yet been able to get it off it goes like this:

1. Removed the push on/off lights by GENTLY prying on them at the top, they'll pop out.

2. Remove the 2 screws behind them that hold the whole assembly to the metal header panel.

3. Slide the whole assembly toward the windshield and it'll slide off 2 clips that hold it to the truck. Do be careful of the headliner, if it's still in decent shape.

4. Disconnect the wire harness to remove it from the truck. You'll see how to get to the switch after that.
