Been a while since i last posted been wrenching ******* my baby. I'm having a somewhat similar problem that Yoder is posting about but i have a 460. I put a new edelbrock carburetor (750cfm) and a performer intake on my truck this past weekend and everything went real smooth on the install no real problems, I started her up and she ran better than it has since i bought it no leaks nothing. Then i took her out on the first little trip around the block to see if i made any better power out of her. I got it up to normal temperature and kinda drove around real nice running awesome then i cracked the throttle open to see what she had and between 2,500 & 3,000 RPM its falling ******* her face. I'm stumped here and could really use some help on this on before i spend the money to take her to the shop, I'll reply back with any question's you guys might have.

Have you checked to see if the kick down linkage is functioning properly?

How about secondary adjustment?

Good luck,

:)>-

I once had a two barrel carb on my four cyl mitsubishi. It ran nice and smoothly, but didn't have the zip it used to. I found a disconnected vacuum hose. Once reconnected the second barrel would open up and she had her zip back.

I don't know if that helps, but good luck.
