I have founed a Clean 2 owner 1969 Bronco that I am think of purching. It has a 6 Cyl with the 3 speed on the tree. What I would like to no is what will I have to have to install a V 8 in it. Will the 302 bolt to the 3 speed manual? if not and I had to also get another trans, what about a 4 speed on the floor. I have herd that one of the manual 4 speed out of a Mustang will drop in with out much work mods.

Thanks,

Kyle

The problem you have right off the bat is that the 6-cyl is longer than the V8 and shifts everything backwards. You would need at minimum, to swap anyway, a new radiator, motor mounts (which would include relocating them), new bell housing, tail shaft adapter between the trans & xfer. Those are for sure items that I remember off the top of my head. If I think of anything else, I will post it up for ya. Hope this helps.

If you do this, I could use your, motor mounts, bell housing, tail shaft adapter between the trans & xfer.

Mike.
