A friend of mine has a 2wd Explorer and wants to turn it into a 4wd. He has access to a 4wd B2 for little money and wants to know if the driveline parts, t-case, front diff, etc... are interchangeable. This begs the quetsion "why not just use the B2?" He wants a four door 4wd vehicle. So, will the parts swap and is this a realistic swap?

Oh come on, I can't believe no one has an answer or even an opinion on my post. Its two simple questions, will it work and should it be done?

can it be done yes it can. should it be done up to you.

but here is the thing when using b2 driveline swaps into explorers

it works but it's going to work really rough.

why not just look for a explorer tcase and drive shaft.
