You can get a used 302 from say a stang from a salvage yard for $300 up
Install is going to run $1500-$3000 depending on the shops reputation and depending on weather it's EFI or Carb

no i would drop it in my self i wouldnt have a shops do it!!!!

Just to be on the safe side (depending on how much you pay for the motor) I would put aside $1500-$1800 for the install. wiring, hoses, lines, Eng mounts, yadda, yadda, yadda. something always comes up as I'm sure you are aware of that! I think when I did my TPI 350 swap into my wrangler it was around $3500. But I had to customize and install a gas tank from an S10, added a 700R4, Motor Mounts, Changed all lines, hoses, AC comp, power steer pump, starter, wires,engine gaskets. I figured if it's out it's easier to replace everything now.
