So I did something really really stupid a few months ago. I was working on my Bronco and thought the tail gate was up. I simply rolled the window up from the drivers seat and went on about my business. When I came back out side I noticed the tailgate down and the window sticking out fully extended. Stupid me thought "well Ill just shut the glass and be on my merry way". Well long story short the glass shattered into a million pieces. I got a new window and installed it no problem. I then went to put the rivets in and ran into a problem. The rivet gun my friend let me loan doesnt have a big enough bit for the Rivets. So, I went to Lowes and of course cant find any bits. So my question is this. Where can you find a rivet gun big enough to put these rivets in? They are the factory sized rivets from broncograveyard. OR is there an alternative way to secure the glass w/o buying an expensive rivet gun. ANY help would be appreciated, THANKS!

Sure, just use bolts instead. Personally I like to use stainless hardware & nylock nuts just because that area frequently sees moisture & carbon steel fastners will rust over time. Stainless will never rust on you and nylocks will prevent the nuts from loosening over time from the rotational motion of the arms and make them easier to remove if you ever need to (if you need to replace the felts later on for example). As an alternative to nylocks you could use standard lockwashers & a dab of neversieze and of course you could always double nut the bolts as well but I kinda think that's overkill. Last time I did one I think I used 1/4-20 hardware but it may have been larger. Just be sure not to overtighten the nuts or you'll get lot better at replacing that window than you want to be.
