what would be the best spark plugs to go in a Bronco with a 351 engine. ready for tune up and oil change. haven't changed the plugs in two years and the truck sat for about 4 months so it needs to be done. any suggestions.

Personally I prefer Bosch Platnums. They're not the cheapest plugs out there but the platnum electrodes are self-cleaning and they can go for years before needing replacement. I have yet to keep a car or truck long enuf to replace them a second time. I've run some of them for 7/8 yrs and they looked great every time I pulled them out to ck, so that's what I use. On the other hand a set of Autolites will work for ya too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Stay away from the whole "splitfire" thing, those cost even more than platnums and they don't do jack so don't get caught up in the "multiple spark" advertising hype because they've been tested repeatedly and offer no improvement at all over the cheapest plug available. I'd buy a Chinese spark plug before buying a SplitFire, well, maybe not but it would be a tough decision. A lot of new vehicles use Platnums & if you ck the owners manual the recommended service interval for plugs is 100K

I like the Accel Ugroove plugs myself, you can getem at checker autoparts for like 30 bucks for a set of 8, they make the throttle a little snapier too.

What was the name? Oh its right there on the tip of my tongue...oh yes, Motocraft. Or Autolite which is made by Motocraft. b-(

Ok, I'm done being a smart donkey....maybe.

I run them and they work great at a reasonable price. Bronccobill is right about splitfires too...stay away from them they are trash, even the bosh multi sparks ****.

:(( had to have a totoal tune up. went to meineke didn't have the time to do it myself, this is after having the duals put on the the truck sounded great. went bact to get the oil changed and tune up and the truck is shaking badly i am telling the guy there that either the wires were ran wrong or the plug(s) are bad. he is telling me that i have a vacuum leak. if i am not mistaken if the problem where a vacuum leak would the truck not shut of for to much air or improper air flow to the engine. am i mistaken in telling them that they need to redo the tune up from start to finish and or try new plugs. they are ******* me off. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> i asked them to use Bosh platinum spark plugs could that be the problem? should i use a generic brand or what? help before i blow meineke up. one less ingnorant shop to worry about. >:)

This might sound kind of bone headed stupid but.....

Check and make sure they didn't cross two of your plug wires.

she is in the shop now. they are bone headz they are still trying to find out where one of the hoses the knocked of goes they think it is behind the engine but they don't know instead of redoing the tune up again. i don't understand mechanics these days. they inconvienence people and make there own jobs harder than it has to be. eeerrrrgggggg. what is wrong with them.
