Hello---
I recently purchased a 1995 bronco to have as a week end driver/hunting truck/project. It runs like a top and is in good shape for age etc. It currently has 6-7 inches of lift with 38 x 15.50 x 15 **** Cepek tires on 10' wide rims. The tires still have good grip but are around 13 years old. I imagine there are some knots and flat spots here and there---as you can imagine the ride isn't that great. I'm considering replacing the tires with some 35 x 12.5 x 15. Currently the 38's balloon out past the bead significantly and measure right 36" in diameter. My local tire deal swears that if I got to a 35 x 12.5 vs. 15.5 that the tires will "balloon" way less and measure true to 35".
Does that seem right or are they just trying to tell me what I want to hear? I'd hate to put 35's on those rims and have them measure out to 33" thus making tires look tiny.
