Hello all

I recently replaced the power steering pump and the steering gear out in my 89 bronco. I flushed out the system and used type f fluid when I filled up the reservoir. While I was cycling the wheels back and forth the wheel would get tight and then the power steering pump cap would pops off.

Jack up the front end of the truck.

With the engine off turn the steering wheel lock to lock several times.

Then top off fluid and start it. That will get rid of most of the air and keep the top from popping off.
