After discovering that my ignition actuator rod broke I disassembled the steering column and installed new actuator rod. While I had it exposed I decided to replace the turn signal cam as well. Since then all lights and turn signals work except the brake lights and rear hazard lights do not work. I have power to the brake switch so I don't know what it could be or where to start.

Yo J,
YW!
I'm signing off for the night, but don't hesitate to ask about any test, etc.
Will be back on Monday morning.

Have you checked for power at the hazard switch? If nothing else maybe just spraying contacts down in the steering column with a contact cleaner would help. Did that on my turning signal actuator and solved a short that I kept having.

Yo Posaman,
Welcome!
Good tip!
Which year, engine, transmission, etc do you have?
Be well!

Hey miesk5, I've been browsing the forums here for a while ever since I picked up my bronco in April 2020 when the lockdown first hit.

I've got a '90 Eddie Bauer 5.0, E4OD. had to replace the head gasket in the parking lot right after I picked it up. Took me a while cause it's the first car I've ever done work on. Right after that I drove it from cali to VA, transfer case leaked oil at some point and melted the bearings inside. I'd pics if I had 'em but mine's got no rust and I just put in some real nice corbeau seats.
