As Skitter advised and the 96 Manual is similar to the 95. It's not the exact year, but close enough that it'd be a pretty good reference, especially engine transmission, 4 Wheel Drive, instrument panel gauges, warning light, buzzers, chimes, jacking, etc operation.
In 96 manual, "the OBD II system is designed to check the function of the vehicle’s powertrain control system during normal operation. If an emission problem is detected, the Check Engine Warning Light (in the cluster) is turned on."
Iggie that Powertrain On-Board Diagnostic II (OBD II) system because your 95 uses the ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL (EEC IV) system that performs same function the Check Engine Warning Light (in the cluster) is turned on when a problem occurs.
