I'm assuming that your Bco is a 1987?

When I did my switch in the 1991 I had to install the new switch, line up the rod, install the screws holding it in and move it up and down so the key position lined up with the switch position. Took a few times of trial and error to find the sweet spot. Once I found the sweet spot then I snugged up the screws really good but not super tight.
