90 302 while running down the road or just easing around, the motor will act as if it's out of gas-spittering and sputting. i can stop turn the key and listen to the fuel pump prime, the motor will run fine for 20 to 30 minutes and the start acting up again? any suggestions? )

whens the last time you changed the fuel filter

Fuel filter has only 4000 miles, but going to change it, replace o'ring and gasket, and check the fuel pressure regulator.
