Front end clang

1989 bronco ii. I hear a clanking from the front end while the motor is in idle and accelerating. The sound will increase in speed as I accelerate. Almost sounds like metal spinning within metal. The front u-joints are fine. It cant be the axle if Im not moving.When i accerlate Ill hear a combo clanking and clacking. i think the clanking is aleak from exhaust maifold gaskets.

It is probably either a leak or a rod bearing going out. Take a short section of hose and hold one end to you ear while you move the other end around the engine to locate the noise, that is if it does it while in Park.
