Engine Idles well dies when accelerated

I have a 1985 Bronco II. Engine idles well but dies when accelerated. you can nurse accelerator and rev? engine slightly but engine dies if you do not let up on accelerator. Has new gas tank and fuel pump.

If it has a carburetor, then it probably needs a rebuild or a new one. Probably has a bad diaphragm in the accelerator pump.

Thanks a Lot. Just bought vehicle to keep at camp. Accelerator pump is leaking so you are probably right. Ordering kit today and will post after rebuilding carburetor. Thanks again.
