Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! The axles would be a Dana44 TTB (TwinTractionBeam) front, with a Ford 8.8" rear. Check some of the pinned topics for info on axle codes and gear ratios, JSM84

yo!

19 is the 3:55 "open" diff for the 8.8

Now, to verify that the 8.8 is Still there; look @ this 8.8 Cover Depiction

If not; then match it up to others, such as the good old 9" and Dana 60 etc by Ventures @ http://www.venturesparts.com/index.php?page=rear-axle-identification

Yes, you and Miesk5 are correct, 19 or I9 is "open" 3.55 gears. You have the option of adding the trac-Lok limited slip or swapping in a carrier, ring & pinion from an H9 or factory L/S rearend. The better option is to add a new unit, as the factory ones are often worn out and need new clutches. Whatever the case, it would help out to have at least rear limited slip for offroad use. IF you plan to add a lift kit and run taller tires, when you go to re-gear the axles would be a good time to add the L/S or even a locker. JSM84

yea i think im going to go with a posi but gonna look around at some more reviews because its my dd im gonna be puttin them on and as far as ring and pinion go i would be amazed if they were 3.55's because im able to turn 35" mt's over on concrete so im probly just gonna leave them alone and get a 3.93 and down posi diff......at least this is what i have been thinking
