Where is the idle control valve located?

So i have a 94 5.8l and when its just sitting there it will idle about 6000-7000 about normal then it will like drop then come back up and continue to do this. It runs fine while your driving and it never drops enough to die. Anyone have ideas

Hey sorry i was slow. but i didn't take my drive shaft out. i just un did the little clamps holding that acorndian shape boot then i just shoved the grease gun in and greased it up. then after a little driving it went right away sorry if i was too late but o well hope it works

yes i had pretty much the same thing with my 94. my neighbor told me to try greasing the driveshaft splines and it went right away!!! try that

the motor on the transfer case or where auto locking hubs but i usually could here the transfer case shift in but its not so i don't think its the hubs
