I've been working on a bumper

No, not for mine... it's for a guy's 95, in CA. Chances for measurements? Sorry chief, no chance, this is my bread-n-butter

I've been working on a bumper

Since these were taken, I've welded on the anchor mounts, and just have the bumper mounts to finish up - then I ship it out

    Locked keys in truck

Did you catch the post where he stated he got into his truck, after all?

I've been working on a bumper

If I could get away from all the distractions and errands I have to run, I'd have been done with this thing LONG ago. But, this is what I'm building - check that out, I actually misspelled my own name! Before the winch mount was welded in But, now I have to take a couple days off...

    Elderly Passenger

Check into the oh-shit handles out of a superduty. You should be able to find those in any junkyard for about 10-15 bucks

    winch mount

Bingo. That's the biggest reason anyone's winch will fail. The rain and salt on the roads really have nothing to do with it. That is why there are winch covers made, too. But, to each how own

I sure wish I had mor free time

Then, I might be able to install this, in my wheeler - That's 7 1/2 gallons of readily available air. I have a smaller 3 1/2 - 4 gl tank that would work just fine - But I like the twin tanks better. But, I need to finish my alternator swap (a 3G on a '70 429), and finish my on-board...

    I need a new radiator

Definitely get one with the brass tanks, if you can find one. Check your modine dealer (NAPA), and see if they can help you. Now might also be a good time to consider getting a larger radiator. If yours is a 2 row radiator, consider getting a 3 row Changing to an electric can can be as easy...

    winch mount

I've never cared for hitch mounted winches. Too much of a pain in the ass. You get stuck, then you have to get in back of the truck, strain yourself to get the winch out, carry that 100lbs of dead weight to the front, and slide it in just enough to get the pin in. Plug in the winch, route the...

First major welding project--Deer proofed the front end

Holy massive bumper, batman! This is as big as I've ever built - But wait, it moves too! If I can offer some constructive criticism, I would seriously consider re-doing those bumper mounts. I strongly suggest using shaped plate, with gussets. Shaped, to follow the frame profile, and...

Most people will use a stock drag link - the proper term for what you're asking about - and others have gotten theirs custom made, and will get theirs from performanceunlimited.com

    Spare tire carrier damage

Putting in a 'subframe' is going to be costly, and time consuming. Either find an inside tire mount, or buy an aftermarket style rear bumper with the tire carrier incorporated into it - the bumper's your best bet

    summit mufflers

I put a pair on my 78, but mine has a 429. Sounds pretty good, but within a year, I've noticed the engine's started blowing out the crimped seams. So I've decided to build my own flowmaster-style of mufflers, rather than spend another 40-120 bucks for a pair

Lock your keys in the truck? I show you how to get in w/o breaking a

I've been 'slammed', for showing others how to do this, as a means of being able to steal someone else's vehicle, or the items within that vehicle. This is ONLY to illustrate how to get into YOUR OWN vehicle, for the purpose of gaining access, as a result of leaving the keys inside, only to...

    82 Full Size Bronco

Sounds like the floats are stuck. Give the float bowl a light whack with a heavy wrench, or light hammer. Sometimes that actually works, most of the time not. Plan for a carb rebuild It's a holley, isn't it?
