Should the two tubes on the heater core that extend thru the fire wall come straight thru the fire wall or be at an angle? Mine is at an angle. I had removed it during a frame off I am doing and also replaced the firewall insulation behind it. Everything looks tight, but the angle they are at...
My 71 Bronco was originally a 3 speed on the column. The previous owner installed a 3 speed on the floor. He connected the wiring for the backup light to a switch on the dashboard to make them work. I want to install a new switch on a bracket that was already on the new tranny and run the wiring...
I have removed the body of my bronco off of the frame. I want to use this chance to install a twin stick transfer case lever. Will it fit in the factory hole of the body or will it have to be enlarged?
I have removed the doors off my 71 Bronco by taking the pins out of the hinges. Can I unbolt the part of the hinge from the front door post? Is there a backing plate behind the post that is attached or will it fall down inside and cause a big project replacing it?
My 71 Bronco has a 2 1/2" James Duff suspension lift that was professionally installed before I purchased it. It has two 70/30 shocks installed at each corner and 9 leaf rear springs. When sitting on my level shop floor, there is a very visible lean towards the drivers rear. Measuring at...
Working on my 71 bronco and have a question. Currently there is a T-style shifter in it but the indicator and other parts are in fairly rough condition. Has anyone installed a twin shift set-up in its place? Any issues or concerns? 302 with 3 speed on the floor.
Is there a bracket that is supposed to hold the bar that extends down from the end of an air cleaner assembly? I want to use the factory assembly but my late brother-in-law put headers on the 302 and now there is no easy way to attach it. Any help? Pictures?
I have pulled pulley. No shim. its definitely a 302. 4 hole with 1/2" center hole. Is the longer nose pump only a 1/4" difference? I have looked in TBP catalogs along with several other catalogs with no success. May have to go to a auto parts store or a junkyard as you suggested.
The water pump pulley on my 71 Bronco is out of alignment with the crank pulley and alternator pulley causing a lot of belt squeal.. My late brother-in-law told me he had replaced the original 302 motor with another out of a 74 Bronco. New radiator and looks like a new water pump possibly. No...
Recently purchased 71 Bronco and want to install a power steering system. Has anyone used any of the kits available from the many suppliers? I am fairly handy with wrenches but I am not a "mechanic", so what should I look for and what should I avoid?
